Don't let Washington topple our health care system.

Dear:
Sincerely,

Everyone agrees: America's health care system is broken. But now we need to start agreeing on a solution to fix it.

Right now, we're letting bad policies slowly bleed out private health insurance companies. As costs skyrocket, those companies are starting to give up on the individual health insurance market, where over 228,000 Tennesseans bought coverage this year.

As those markets falter, liberals like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will get louder and louder in their calls for government-run health care. Any crisis will be seen as an opportunity for the Left to execute a government takeover of our healthcare system – which will cost us $32.6 trillion and lead to higher taxes, rationed care, and waiting lists. We can't let that happen.

Americans deserve the freedom to choose their own health care. We must urge Congress to adopt policies that will enable insurers in the marketplace to reduce costs, increase choice for our citizens, and prevent a government takeover of our healthcare.

Hi, this is  <your name> and I live in <your city>.

I’m calling to make sure <Representative Name> works to ensure our health insurance markets stay stable, and says no to anything that will lead to a government takeover of our health care system.

Americans don’t want Washington’s short-sighted tinkering to collapse our health insurance market. If that market collapses, we will lose the ability to choose our health care. We don't want to get stuck with government-run health care.

If we continue to tinker with our health insurance policies, insurers will continue to leave the market. As they do so, Americans will have fewer and fewer options. And as this happens, liberals will get louder and louder with their calls for a government takeover of our healthcare system – which would mean higher taxes on everyone and less care for all of us.

Please, keep our health insurance markets stable. We don’t want single-payer government-run health care.

Thank you for your consideration of my viewpoint on this matter.
